So I'm sitting here in the office as Hurricane Gustav starts his long range slapping of the Keys. We have a Tropical Storm Watch here as of right now, and a Warning out to the Dry Tortugas (even though I would guess that those tours would be canceled).
This storm is nasty and he's only going to become worse. Anyone in the path of this storm needs to get ready. If you're in New Orleans, it might be a good time to get out of town for the weekend.
I know I said that people panic needlessly about these storms. I still stand by that. We are fine here. We're going to have a bit of a rainy weekend, and might even get some "exciting" wind gusts. Nothing to be concerned about though.
As this thing sneaks past us you can't help but hold your breath. You don't want to attract it's attention. It's a monster walking by the bed and you're just doing everything you can to keep the covers over your head so it doesn't turn around and eat you.
So I'll be sitting here under the covers, with a flash light, a six pack and a good book..... ok I'll be sittin' here with a flashlight and a bottle of rum.

Out of sight out of mind here in the Rockies. Only 55 degrees with rain tonight and somewhere in Montana it's snowing. When was the last time you saw a snow tire?
