So last on January 3rd we hit a record low of 45 degrees (breaking the previous record of 46 degrees). It was windy and cold. Amazing how thin our blood is. You become so accustomed to wonderful weather that the slightest glitch and we completely crumble.
It wasn't an all time record low, that was 41 degrees and actually set back in 1886 and was recorded again in 1981.
Some of my guests were all complainy. People just don't realize that this is the best weather you can get in the country most of the time. Let's face it, 45 degrees is chilly, but hardly bad enough to ruin your day. If it's 45 here, it SUCKS everywhere else.
People spend so much time bitching about what something isn't, they don't focus on what it is. It's wonderful here, even in the chilly weather. Buy a sweatshirt, See a museum, curl up at a corner bar and listen to some music while trying to drink the chill off of you.
Or, you could sit in your room complaining that we don't have heat and no, we're not kidding. Heat is a bottle of rum and someone you like.
Straighten up, people and enjoy what you have.
Oh, by the way, we're back up to 77 degrees and loving life. This is our "Payback" time of the year. The high cost of living, the hurricanes, the low wages, all get paid off in January - April. Now, on that note. I'm going to sit by the pool and finish my coffee.... suckers

It is March 6th and weather.com says we won't hit 41 for at least a week. We are expecting 6-9 inches of snow tomorrow.....my partner and I are seriously considering leaving Indiana!
